The magical skull which brings happiness
Tora was a nicely painted skull which delivered happiness and energy to the people who needed.  Previously Tora has been belongs to the son of this family who was very nice guy. Tora and the boy were good friends. But after Jamie the son of this family got admission to a foreign university they had to get separated.  Tora the skull was really upset and he needs somebody to share his time and happiness. Most of the time, he was recalling his memories of Jamie.
The Jamie’s mother Lora and father Edward were living in this house which was in country side.  There are few houses surrounded by and they were having an own farm. Therefore both of them used to work at there.
One day Lora had received a phone call saying that her niece (sister’s daughter) will be visiting there for a month   due to her parent’s business trip. That day Edward had gone to the station to pick up her.  She was a pale girl age of 8 years.  She has huge scar on her face. She was not seems to be happy. After they has arrived the house, Aunt Lora has welcomed her niece served her with early dinner. Then her aunt arranges the Jamies old room for her. The girl was really tired and quickly gone to the sleep. 
Tora still on the top shelf of the Jamies rack and he saw little girl is sleeping on the bed. She looked exhausted and also very sad.  
In the next morning Lora had come to wake her niece. “Joana hey sweetie wake up… lets go to see the village after the breakfast” Lora said to her niece Joana. But she seemed not well.  “Aunty my head is like to going blast. Iam not well I think…” she whispered.  Lora touched her forehead it was really hot. She is having fever.  Then Lora helped her niece to eat butter and toast and some boiled fresh milk which is from their farm. Then she gave some tablets for fever and asks her to get some more sleep. And then Lora had to go for her other activities. Joana couldn’t sleep she badly missed her parents and also her best friend Tommy. Tommy was a German shepherd cross dog which was Joana got her 3 rd birthday. They were growing up together. But last week it got faced an accident while crossing the road with Joana. It was hit by a high speed car; lucky Joana was not got any injury. But her dog could not recover from this accident. 
Joanna was a smart girl in her younger ages. But after she used to go to school she had some bad experiences due to her huge birthmark on her face. She was bullied by her friends saying that she had some evil. Her parents always tried to help her and encourage her but it was not worked.  Her parents business was also not going very well. Therefore they had to go on this business trip to recover their business. These all issues were flashed in her mind. All the time Tora was listening to her mind. He was really sorry about Joana. He was thinking how to use his magic to bring happiness to Joana. That was his new mission. 
After some deep sleep Joana got some rest and she felt little better than before. Then she had some time with her uncle and aunt. And then she went to her bed.  After couple of hours she felt a sleep. In her dreams she saw somebody has calling her name. “Joana let’s play… let’s go outside and watch the stars….. I am with you Joana…..” but this voice was not familiar. She suddenly woke up and looksed around. But there was no one on the room. And then after she closed her eyes she heard the sound again. In this time she had switched on the lights and just checks the room. There was a nicely painted skull shaped ornament on the top shelf the book rack of his cousin. She dragged a chair and then climbs on it and got the painted skull. Inside of it there is a written name “Tora”. 
“Hi Tora, I am feeling little bad. Can you help me? Then she kept Tora on the bed side cupboard and gone to a deep sleep. She saw her parents, her beloved dog and finally Tora. She was wake around 7 a.m. and gone down stairs for her breakfast. She looked well. And then she had her breakfast got permission to walk around the farm and the garden. 
She went to her room and then talked to Tora, “Will you come with me to visit the garden?” She heard something like “Yes of course let’s go” But she thought it was from her mind. Then she kept Tora into her small backpack and went out for her little visit. 
Then she came to small pond where the ducks used to swim and water lilies were there. Again she heard that someone calling her name. “Little Joana shall we sing a song….” And there was no one there.  But she wanted to sing. So she starts singing her favorite’s song and there was some one also supporting her. While singing she opened her bag and got the painted skull the murmuring sound was coming from the skull. She was surprised and frightened. Then our mystery friend Tora introduced his self. “Don’t be afraid little Joana, my name is Tora and I can communicate through my thoughts. You are really special kid that’s why I can communicate with you. Little later Tora was came to the conscious and accept there was a magic inside this cute ornament. Tora wanted to hear her worries and fears. Then she told Tora about her sad story and how her life was going on.  But after the conversation with Tora, all her worries got vanished. Both of them used to travel around the farm and discover the every corner of the farm and the garden. They play with small calves, run with the bunnies and making some noises like piglets. She was very happy. Some nights they were went to the rooftop and watch the stars and shining moon. Tora said lots of stories about the past. Regarding the people got courage to build empires. Most of the stories encourage Joana to think more different. One day Tora said that he was gifted to Jaime on the day of death festival by their grandpa. When Jaime was too young he lost his sister and he was very sad. But after he met Tora he again started to smile and be happy.  And Tora explained Joana that everybody has difficult time in their life and life is a mix of ups and down as the night sky. Some days full of starts and someday with thunder clouds. 
Day by day their friendship grew up. Tora was really happy to use his magic on little Joana and he wants make her to face her all fears. So one day he asks Joana to go outside of the farm house to the outside park area. Joanna was little bit afraid because of the scar on her face. But Tora said don’t worry lets go outside. Then the Joana asked her aunt and uncle to visit outside the farm house. So they gave permission to go to the park area and come back before it got dark. Her uncle dropped her at the park on his way to the nearby town. She has bought some sandwiches for her lunch. There were some children playing in the slides, swings and the playground also. She was afraid to join them. But Tora murmured “Go and join them don’t worry”.  When she approached to them, all the children were gazed at her. “Oh what happen to your face”, you looks ugly, don’t come to play with us….” She was very sad to hear the same from these kids as her school friends.   “Don’t worry Joana Very thing will be ok. Everybody has weakness as well as strength. Find your strength Joana”.  Tora wanted to encourage her. Joana sat on the grass. Suddenly she saw one little girl trying to go into the pond beside the playground. She was trying to find the ball which was felt into the water. But this girl was drowned into the water and she was struggling to come out of water. Other kids did not see her because they were busy at their game. Tora saw the incident shouted “Joana, look that kid is going to drown in the water…” Joana Jumped up and ran to the water. “No Joana, be careful”. Tora shouted to Joana. At the moment Joana shouted “Help, help” and jumped into the water and tried to save that kid. She was not a good swimmer. But with the Tora’s magic and Joana’s kindness she could safely brought that kid to the ground. Other kids have understood they were wrong and they apologized to her and asked her to join with them. She was a quick learner and good players. She helped her team to win the game also. Then she asked others to join her meal. They all shared her sandwiches.  She promised them to join the next day also. They were the first human friends she got. After the kids were gone she was thanking Tora for making her strong.  But Tora said true magic was the courage of your life and your good values. So if you identify your values you can be stronger and be undefeatable. Both of them came home. Other days also both of them used to play and also visited the playground to see her new friends. And she used to go to the church on Sundays with her uncle and Aunt. No longer was she afraid of her scar in face. As Tora said it had made her different and special person. Time passed by quickly her mother used to call her when she has time. One day she got a call from her mother that saying their business trip was succeeded and they were coming pick her on the day after next day. It was nearly one month after the arrival of Joana to this village and meeting Tora. She was a different person from the girl who came to her aunt’s house. She is strong, nice and confident girl.  Now she is having good friend, Tora who is encouraging her. But actually Tora is not belongs to her it belongs to Jaime, her cousin brother. So it is difficult to say good bye to this friend. 
Suddenly she heard a noise of car approaching to the porch, her parent’s plans to come on the next day not in today. So she quickly ran through the down stair to see whether her parents came early. It was sports type car, Young man around 21 years old was get out of the car. Aunt Lora was hugging this young boy and said “Jaime you surprised us. Meet this is your cousin Joana; you have saw her when she was a baby. Then Jaime hugged Joana and had small chat with her also.  He is having two rooms in this house. One room is for keeping his childhood belongings. That room is the one arranged to Joana.  In the evening Jaime came to Joanna room to have a chat. But she was at the bathroom at the moment. So he just has gone through his old stuff.  So he saw that Tora was not at the right place. And he asked Joana to come for dinner. And next day Joana’s parents were came to pick her. Jaime went her room to help her to carry the luggage. Then he saw Tora was at the previous place. He took the Tora and gave it to Joana. “I think you have blessed with his magic Joana. Keep him with you. He is yours now”. So Joanna was surprised and looked at Jaime and said “So you also know his magic”. He replied “Yes little sister, he helped me lot from his magic but this is a secret between both us. And Tora Thank you very much, for make me strong person”. Jaime said good bye to Tora and his cousin Joana.  Joana placed Tora inside her bag very carefully and walked to her parents with confidence. She hugged her uncle and aunt and thanked them for their hospitality. And after the family lunch Joana and her parents left the house with Tora. Joana felt more comfortable, energetic, happy and optimistic about her new life.
